17th century small blond cabinet
Blond oak two-door cabinet from around 1700.
Beautiful in its simplicity.
Typical for the Zuidelijke Nederlanden (Southern Netherlands) also called The Katholic Netherlands given the proportions.
The ratio of wide to low is typical.
Could also be the province of Zeeland because the influence from Flanders was very strong there.
Present-day North Brabant and North Limburg then belonged to this area in terms of style influence.
Beautiful panels in quartersawn oak and fluting in the posts next to the doors.
The heavy ball legs give strength to the desgn.
The open lock is original and so is the key.
