Beautiful and elegant cabinet.

Exceptionally well-made.

High-quality furniture craftsmanship.

The style is Directoire—the transitional period from Louis XVI to the Empire, circa 1790.

"Single-curved," the base cabinet only curves outward at the bottom.

Beautifully detailed corner legs—see detailed photos.

Beautiful carving on the doors—above a crossed torch and a sheaf of arrows—here, the martial ornamentation of the Empire is already evident.

Napoleon and the later wars take shape.

The hood has an open pediment—derived from classical antiquity.

Inside this opening is an artistically carved urn.

Beautiful and extensive interior with many drawers.

Three drawers inside have special linings for (silver) cutlery.

The drawers are all beautifully lined and still look like new, so I'm leaving them in place.

The buyer will certainly appreciate this. And if not, you can easily remove it. Also note the unique hardware: large, round cast brass pulls, 10 cm in diameter.

The drawers all run smoothly.

All drawers have their original, fully functional locks and keys.

No visible restorations.

In excellent condition.

The cabinet can be disassembled and assembled and will be shipped in parts.

You will need to assemble it yourself, which is not difficult.
